Today's topic is the following question: What does it mean to have faith The New International Version is where I found this verse. 1 Corinthians 2:5 “So that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” What does 1 Corinthians 2:5 mean to me you ask? Well, what does it mean to you? Please share your interpretation of this verse! [Waits for the audience to volunteer their interpretation of the verse] To me, the first part where it says “so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom” asserts the second part of the verse where the end of the sentence says “but on God's power.” Human wisdom is untrustworthy because we are biased, we try to make the truth fit us instead of us fitting the truth.
